Anyone have dry eyes and allergic eyes and produce stringy mucous?

I too get that mucus in my eyes but I don't have any real help to offer. I just use more artificial tears and wipe the mucus away with a warm washcloth. My Opthalmologist also told me to use OTC Pataday Allery Drops twice a day.

Yes I do the same . Really annoying and no real cure.

Due to inflammation? Yes, I've had that problem with lots of gunk in my eyes due to being so dry. (I haven't been able to cry in I don't know how long!) Now I'm on Vevye drops twice a day and it seems to help with that. Also use artificial tears PLUS blood serum eyedrops about six times a day. I've started to do one week artificial (no preservatives) eyedrops and then one week the blood serum eyedrops because everything was starting to add up and I'm not made of money! Sigh.

I have been having some relief to my dry irritated eyes using a DIY eye solution that I apply with eye wash cups.
The solution is 1/4 cup glycerin and 1 cup purified water in a glass jar. I apply in eye wash cup for 30 seconds or so as needed. It really helps. Solution is also good on dry skin.
