You might want to look at a combination treatment with curcumin:

Great post, Joe. I appreciate the details about your experience to help others new to stomach cancer. When were first diagnosed? What is your follow up like now? Are followed by Mayo Clinic or locally?
Colleen,
I was first diagnosed in 2020 during an ER visit. It was confirmed by Mayo and had since being under the care of the great doctors and nurses here at Mayo Clinic. I was CT scanned every 3 months until this year which will be switching to every 6 months. My condition is stable, ie. nothing's changed since my surgery in 2021. I am not out of the woods yet but I have full faith in the folks here and I know they will do the best for me and I got to enjoy another day in the warmth of the Phoenix sun. All good.
Hi Joe
I just wanted to message we I’m trawling through the forums, as my mum has oesophageal-gastric junction adenocarcinoma, t4n2m0. I read you had 8 upfront FLOT cycles prior to surgery, this is what my mum is having as it was so big, and it hadn’t shrunk enough at a specific plane for the surgeon to comfortably operate at the end of cycle 4. I was just wondering, as typically it’s perioperative would you mind telling me why you had 8 upfront yourself? Would it be due to similar reasons?
I had my chemo treatments during the COVID year and the hospital need to limit the operating room use in case of a surge in COVID cases. You may say that I had the cancer treatment at the worst possible time. In any case, I don't think the outcome would be any different. Having 8 consecutive chemo treatments did took a lot out of me in terms of strength and I often felt a bit weak at times. Having a strong family support and an optimistic outlook in life was very helpful to me during that period.
I wish your mom the best. Tell her that I'll say a prayer for her. I am sure there are lots of people like me who are rooting for her so keep on fighting this disease.
Best wishes. J
P.S.
The main objective of neoadjuvant chemotherapy is to downstage or control micrometastasis in resectable tumor before surgery.
