Stent in left carotid artery completely blocked

I had laryngeal cancer at 28 years old. I am now 65 . About 4 years ago I had a stent put in my left carotid artery. Last year to doctor told me my stent is completely blocked. It causes vision problems in my left eye, Dizziness , low blood pressure, tired all the time. It is affecting my way of life. Does anyone have this problem and can anything be done?

What did the doctor say, how would therapy be, removing the block is possible?
Did you get a second opinion?

He has me come back every 6 months for scan . To make sure other side is not blocked more. Just says if it gets to be more blocked then we will have to do something.
