Hi @jlf2. If you are comfortable, would you mind sharing a few more details about your diagnosis? Spontaneous Splenorenal shunt is closely related to, or a result of, portal hypertension. There can be all sorts of different causes for it - some of which may help other members

Members @arqui02000 and @myfablife discussed portal hypertension during their Liver Transplant journey.

Are you experiencing any current symptoms with your spontaneous splenorenal shunt? Have any treatment options been discussed with you that you are concerned about?

I don’t have much information about this that’s why I’m here
I don’t see my Doctor till September 6th to talk about the CT results
So I don’t know what the cause is
I have Harding of the liver and syst on my liver , I have chronic pancreatitis, and high blood pressure and digestive problems ,kidney stones in both kidneys and a lot of abdominal pain so my body is going nuts I don’t know what’s wrong with me and can’t seem to get much help from my Doctors
Any information would be helpful I only know what I’ve read here on the Mayo Clinic information page on google

I don’t know anything about it
It was found on a CT scan I had done in the emergency room.
I went in to the ER in extreme pain in the area where it was found they told me they could find any reason for my pain gave me oxycodone an antibiotic and sent me home
When I got the results from the CT scan it said I had a large spontaneous Portosyatemic shunt to the left of my live
I have several cysts on my live and harding of the liver
I also have a few Heart Conditions and Digestive problems as well as kidney problems so I don’t why it spontaneously appeared
Hopping to get some type of inflammation from what I read it could have something to do with my uncontrolled high blood pressure as well
As far as symptoms go I’m not sure if I’m having symptoms I have been having a lot of pain in the area of where it is sometimes very sharp shootings pain coming just in the under my left rib cage area and swelling in the area also.
I was hoping someone could tell me something about what going and some of the symptoms and maybe some treatment options maybe what to expect in the future
