Soft wave therapy for joint pain
Just wondering if anyone has tried Software Therapy? It's relatively new and claims to help the majority of those who use it. Basically it uses strong shockwaves to stimulate the body's ability to heal itself.. I had an introductory session but they want a lot of money to continue. My knee is bone on bone. Anyone familiar?

Are you a gym member? I do all the leg machines at the gym which includes squats and quadricep lifts, I don't know all the names. But you can also look for physical therapists on YouTube that can help!

2 ReactionsI have osteoarthritis in right hip. No way that I want a hip replacement. I do water aerobics 3 times a week and it has made a huge difference. I used to be in pain all the time. Not any more. I read that water exercises and/or swimming is the best thing you can do for this. It works!

3 Reactions@timely Good to start with a few sessions of PT first, if you haven't already done that, so you can be sure to do the exercises that will help and not hurt your joints. All the best - I get it - very challenging.
Thanks Judy.
Water aerobics is an excellent exercise and very, very easy on the joints. Ditto for spinning which is what I do.
I have had both knees replaced, right hip and left shoulder. I'm a victim of osteoarthritis. But in every case, the surgery eliminated the pain.
I'm curious why you don't want your hip replaced. If you are mostly pain free, there is no need to rush it. If you do experience pain daily, as I did, the hip is one of the easiest joints to replace with a quick recovery.
All the best to you, and good for you for doing water aerobics!
Joe
