Side effects of Auvelity . Do they go away?
I started Auvelity 2 weeks ago. Some of the side effects I already had. The dry mouth is new and is very annoying! My lips are chapped from licking them. The good side is i play saxophone and dry mouth is a good thing...
The medicine is add on to Trintellix right now debating on stopping the Trintellix.
Dr said the side effects go away after 2 weeks. Dry mouth has gotten better, but still annoying.
Anyone else on it?

@pfloyd I tried Auvelity last year and was never able to tolerate the side effects, so I discontinued. Dry mouth was only one of the many I experienced, but I found it very uncomfortable. It did get better over time but was still annoying. Maybe you can ask your doctor about slowly ramping up?
If you want to stay on the medicine but continue to experience dry mouth, you may want to ask your dentist about prescription toothpaste, as chronic dry mouth can lead to cavities.
Best of luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.
In most cases the side effects will minimize in time however it's very different for everyone, if you're able to tolerate side effects then you may notice improvement over time, sometimes doctor's might add another drug to help with unpleasant experiences, I personally have never really had an easy time with these drugs and it's not that unique.
