Shoulder blade pain w asymptomatic afib

Posted by kevkat73 @kevkat73, Jul 26, 2022

I was diagnosed w asymptomatic afib a year ago (normal heart rate, b/p normal take b/p meds)....ER Dr said he would Not put me on meds But that was for the cardio Dr to decide...Cardio Dr put me on low dose Eliquis.
In the past few days have been having shoulder blade pain off & on. Anyone know if this pain could be related to my afib?

Hi @kevkat73, when unexpected pain just arises out of nowhere it can definitely be a cause for concern. I do know that Afib can sometimes demonstrate pain or discomfort in the chest, throat, arms, jaw or between the shoulder blades.
You stated that it started a few days ago, have you noticed any triggers when the pain arises? Have you just eaten a meal? Did you physically exert yourself? Is it brought on with stressful situations?
