Should I start HRT again at 60?
I was late to the HRT game until I finally pushed the subject with my GYN about 4 years ago while in menopause. I used a patch for a couple of years then noticed spotting so I stopped. I feel like I have finally broken through the Menopause Window and am post menopause. Don’t let anyone fool you. For some of us the journey from peri to post is many years. I am still having night sweats and have some brain-fog. Should I ask my GYN for another try? Maybe a different type of patch or cream? There is so much information out there it is overwhelming. Or maybe that is just the menopause??😁

If it were me I would talk with your provider again. Organize a list of questions based on your current medical profile, what you hope to gain from hrt or bhrt and any current research that you have found. If nothing else it will help to clarify how you should make your decisions. If you are still unclear you can always seek a second opinion.

1 ReactionAs long as you’re within 10 years of menopause you can still start provided no other issues per your provider

I believe that there may be some rethinking of that 10 year window.
Let me see what I can find and post it.
