Short of breath because of aneurysm?

Posted by momof2gems @momof2gems, May 3 8:59pm

In 2022 I had a pulmonary emboli. They discovered also a celiac artery aneurysm and a small hiatal hernia. Last year they also discovered a dilated aortic root.
Now I am lately extremely short of breath and wonder if that could be from the aortic root being dilated in combination with the hiatal hernia?
I don’t think it is another PE because when I sit down I can breathe easier after a few minutes.
Anybody here has any experience with this?

Leaky aorta valve cause dizziness?

Yes anything that effects the pressure in your heart can cause dizziness

In some cases a root dialation can cause an aortic valve regurgitation as the valve gets stretched out and the cusps can't completely close, that could cause shortness of breath. Your Cardiologist should be abe to diagnose that with an echocardiogram

All the best to you
