Short of breath
I have HCM which has gone on to turn onto HFPEF. I know we’re all pretty familiar with the chest pains and struggles with breathing in here. It comes with the territory . I guess I’m just curious , why oxygen levels are fine but it literally feels like you’re struggling with every breath just trying to get something in that makes that painful breathing finally relax. I’m on two diuretics and so far the breathing is still hard.

Just wandering are you on a diuretic or vasodilator?
When my local cardiologist diagnosed me with mild cardiovascular disease he put me on carvedilol, i told him it made my symptoms worse and he said i needed to stay on them!
Fast forward a couple years after being properly diagnosed with HCM with severe LVOTO by the mayo they said carvedilol exasperated my symptoms because it tends to act as vasodilator!
I sure understand the breathing difficulties all exercise induced!
Camzyos helped but it did not help me fully because i do ride hard on my mountain bike!
Im 3 weeks out from septal myectomy and have started incorporating small running with my walks! 1 minute saunter every 10 minutes basically:)
Good luck with your treatments
2 diuretics, I’m taking Jardiance & Spirolactone currently. I don’t have obstructive HCM so I didn’t need meds for that as of now. I do have severe HCM though and that’s what has led to me being diagnosed stage c HFPEF now.
