Sharing a study I'm participating in for fatigue

Sharing- I'm participating in a study led by Mt Sanai NYC Post Covid Dept looking at fatigue and endocrine dysfunction. It involves a blood draw at LabCorp to check the endocrine function and a functional survey. Im told if the Drs find an issue with your labs, you continue with draw every 3 months and the labs are explained to you and the Drs will discuss with your providers. The post Covid website is also a great source for information as they seem more independent imho

@ripley

Do you have to live in NY to participate in the study?

I have opposite GI problem loose and a LOT of it. Also have high cortisol which can exhaust you too as your body is working overtime in fight or flight all the time, then you crash. For the gas and bloating I take Gas Ex at times, its pretty benign and does help a bit, it doesn't have a lot of side effects like other myriad things I've taken for GI stuff. Acupuncture has helped a bit too but it hasn't seemed to stick past the 2nd day after it, but I just started trying it again as its one of the only things that's made me feel better even if its just for a day. Unfortunately I have just about every long covid symptom for close to 2 years, GI, cardiac, thyroid, chronic fatigue, food is not appealing, horrible sleep, exercise intolerance...been to so many specialists but they mainly focus on their thing, not overall what's driving the symptoms. I've been to naturopath too, but it didn't help much and I spent a lot of money on supplements. Have huge box of supplements and meds that didn't work! Sure hope for all of us a solution comes. Also I find DR Boon Lin cardiologist in London, a good source of help that is not invasive or drug oriented, he's treated a lot of long covid people. Watching his videos and interviews helps me take a break from my endless search for relief, doing the recommended things he says that are very easy. I have just started it, but some people on this site have said it helped them, so worth a try.

Hi everyone
This is my last post. I received my results. I'll continue with the study to support research. It was worth it. Highly recommend looking into the Mayo PRC program.
