Severe itching

Posted by thedyl @thedyl, Jan 1, 2025

Has anybody experienced severe itching from OZEMPIC? I stopped taking OZEMPIC a month ago after using it for 6 months. I still have severe itching, and my physician told me that OZEMPIC can stay in my system for a month. I use ZYTREC to help with the itching, but so far, it has had minimal results. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I was on Mounjraro for over a year and the itch began and got progressively worse. I stopped Mounjraro and was changed to try Ozempic. Two days after first injection the itch started with a vengeance. I use ice, Hydroxyzine and Tylenol which gives me relief for a couple of hours. I have the cream, but it doesn't help. I pray to get this out of my system and will look for a natural approach. I am suffering with this excruciating itch. This happened with Mounjraro and now, Ozempic. No more after I get through this bout.

Sometimes medication can cause a neuropathy type itch…feels more like needle pricks. If this sound familiar, I take an otc supplement Beta Alanine, 750 mg every four hours as needed…it is typically use as a pre workout supplement. In large doses, it can cause tingling on the skin…but 750 mg is a pretty low dose…
