Serious breathing issues after Covid

Posted by sueann02 @sueann02, Nov 23 10:18am

Mild case of Covid Cough Jan. 2024. This turned into SEVERE breathing issues and exhaustion. PCP referred to Pulmonologist. After many tests , Bilateral Diaphragm Paralysis diagnosed. Neurologists (after EMG) say a rare case of ALS starting with Phrenic Nerve/ Diaphragm Paralysis. Cleveland Clinic Long Covid Dr is treating with LDN, NAC and CoQ10.
I am gathering ALL types of previous test results to somehow get a Phone Consult to see if we can get an alternative method of help instead of just Palliative care/ Hospice!! Husband was a very healthy 66 yr. old!
Anyone else have a similar Post Covid story and or ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE???

@sueann02, you and your husband have been on a harrowing journey. Do I understand correctly that he has been diagnosed with ALS?
