Septal Infarct on ECG

Last Friday I was in hospital to have surgery to remove an implanted defibrillator and wire due to malfunction of the wire, and have a new device and wire inserted. Was released home the following day and see on my results that an intraoperative ECG diagnosed a septal infarct? I was not told about this nor did a cardiologist speak to me before I was discharged. Since the ECG was performed intraoperatively, one can only hope that this is not a consequence of a poorly placed lead?

An infarct is the result of ischemia, not due to a misplaced pacemaker lead. The leads go to specific places and care is taken when inside the human (although mistakes do happen now and then, surely) to not cause harm through inattention or misinformation.
