Rotated spine?
Anyone told you have a rotated spine that is in a particular area of your spine? If so, what did they say would be the treatment?

@southern2 I have scoliosis with a curve to the right of the Thoracic and Lumbar areas, and my spine is also rotated in the Thoracic area.
Have you had any physical therapy for this yet? I had been to a standard physical therapist, but they were not familiar with the scoliosis/rotated spine. I was on this message board last month and someone recommended The Schroth Method, which is designed specifically for people with scoliosis/rotation.
I have been to chiropractic and physical therapy more than once without much to see for it. However, I have been in this Schroth Method therapy for 10 visits now (just had my latest yesterday, April 15th), and my scoliosis curve has been reduced from 27 degrees to 24 degrees.
I first saw it back on Monday, April 13th when I went over CT scans of my spine with my doctor. It was very obvious there had been a change in the amount of curve. And yesterday, the therapist measured the curve from before and after these sessions. A 3 degree improvement was a surprise for me, a happy surprise.
I would do a search in your area for someone that specializes in this method, set an appointment, and get a consultation done. Good luck!

3 Reactions@marcd2k wow I appreciate your information so much. I fell down stairs in September 2021 severely spraining my right ankle and hurting my back. I am a home health nurse and was going to visit a patient. Workers comp doctors diagnosed me with CRPS after 3 years, but now a yr and a half later came back and said I damaged my peroneal nerve and I know now that I also had a meniscus tear and my ATLF was completely torn when I fell and I have no idea how many other tendons and ligaments were damaged. I can't believe NY WC doctors let me walk around with this much damage without helping me. I will see if I can find a provider who knows about the Schroth Method and thanks so much again for the information. I pray you continue to improve with getting your back straightened out. .

1 Reaction@southern2 You are very welcome, I know how tough it is out there. I have been dealing with my medical issues since July of 2023, and no one has been able to pinpoint my actual problem.
So, it's three years this summer, and I've been to every hospital in our city, and have seen at least 30 doctors. The things that are missed, or misdiagnosed, and even lied about would surprise anyone not going through this, so I'm not surprised you had more damage than you were told. It should not be this way at all.
Thank you for your prayers, and good luck to you in your search.

2 ReactionsYes, it is so sad that the doctors you put your trust in let you down and so many other people. They can document anything they want whether it's good or bad, true or not. Extremely disappointing
