Have bronch and m abscessus. Infectious disease doc is putting me on antibiotics for NTM but i am not getting any other treatment. Should i be? I am in Canada and haven't heard from the respirologist since he sent my sample for resistance testing.

Just 1 thing to ask about-many of use use a nebulizer with albuterol and or hypertonic saline (3 or 7%)before the Aerobika/Acapella. I could have missed the suggestion in comments. That might help get sputum out.

Are you doing any airway clearance such as nebulizer or huff coughing? I see you’ve been in group a few months. Are there particular treatments you are questioning?

I have been neb with Albuterol and 3% saline since January. Trying to gather all info. I have used an inhaler a couple times when coughing with no production. The info comes sporadically prob because I fight denial daily. I can still play 2 hours of pickleball and or walk 2 hours easily.
Thank you for all support.

It’s great that you’re so active. Exercise helps a lot, too. I’m just finishing nebulizing the saline and will walk/run just after as airway clearance. Members who expel a lot often do both. I don’t get stuff up, but started regularly using the 7% last fall. My pulmonologist suggested it in hope I’d have fewer exacerbations over winter and it seemed to work. Last month, he said it was like flossing-good prevention.
