RNY Surgery question 6 days post op

I'm 6 days post rny bariatric surgery. I'm drinking lots of water and it seems to be fine. Shouldn't my stomach tell me it's too much?

It should? Did you actually have roux en y? A few sips and you should be really full. Can you ask your surgeon or their nursing staff?

Are you sipping water, or drinking a lot at once? After my surgery, I was told to sip water. When you say a lot, how much do you think you're drinking in a day?

If your concern, I would suggest you contact your care team and ask about.

Besides water, what other fluids are you taking?

@roch I'm getting in at least 64oz. of water and also 2 protein shakes.
