Right Lower Pelvic Pain
Hello,
I woke up around 5:00 AM with the urge to urinate. When I got out of bed, I experienced a sudden sharp pain in the lower right side of my abdomen, right side of the groin (below the belly button). The pain intensified while urinating and was accompanied by chills, sweating, nausea, and lightheadedness. I have never experienced this type of pain before. It subsided within about 10 minutes.
Afterward, I drank water and laid back down. Shortly after, I developed diarrhea and have had multiple back-to-back bowel movements over the past hour. For the three days prior, I had been constipated and was unable to have a bowel movement until this morning. Since waking, I’ve had several episodes along with increased gas.
While lying down, I applied pressure to the area, but it does not feel tender or sore. I have previously had kidney stones and gallstones, and this pain felt different from those experiences.

Have you contacted your doctor yet?
@gravity3 not yet, they do not open until 8am eastern time

My mistake. I missed that. Good luck with the doc. Let us know how it works out.
You need to contact your doctor, the pain you experience and the sweating and so tells me you got a bug of some.
The diarrhea could be related to some G.I. bug like the flu or something
It also could be food, allergies that are causing the diarrhea. Your body is trying to get rid of what ever you ate that your body can’t deal with.
I wish you the very best
@minnesota10 thanks! I called my doctor and waiting on a response. No pain since 5am, but curious if something is brewing down there. It wasn’t regular stomach pains. It was a sharp pain on the right lower side and I am definitely going to monitor if any other pain comes back and go to the ER. Appreciate your message.

1 Reactionyou should contact your pcp and if not a GI odc. this could be a regular cold/flu or classic chrons because it is in the ilium are so the right side quadrant
@mackvogt13 I heard from my doctor and I requested an ultrasound and bloodwork. I’ll definitely look into Chrons. Thank you!
@ahardy34
Also do a diary of your pain when it started what you were doing and so.
You might wanna do it for the next few days and just see if anything may have triggered
I wish you the very best and figuring this out
@ahardy34 okay good for you for being cautious! hope it goes well!
