Does anyone have any information about the annual transplant get together at Rochester?

Hey, Everybody - I got my Fall/Winter Gift of Life House Neswletter in the mail today. Did you get yours?
On Page 13, you will find a Group photo from the Annual Transplant Patient and Family Picnic. You all look fantastic with happy smiles 😀😁😊

As I was trying to identify a couple of you, I began to wonder how many of these smiling faces participate on Connect? Raise your hand via a reply because I would love to meet you and hear your story about organ donation. And pass this invite on to a friend next time you are at the Gift of Life House.

We attended the picnic and are in the picture. My husband had a liver transplant June 2018. He is on the right kneeling with the green shirt and white hat. I'm next to him with white shirt and on each side of me are our 2 daughters. Two years in a row we have gone and had a great time meeting up with others in this picture who were also staying at the transplant house when we were.

@lisamb, Hey, I see you! That is pretty amazing that your daughters are able to accompany you.
I notice that your husband received his transplant in June, so did you manage to combin e his annual check-up with the picnic? My transplant month is April, and i live in central Kentucky, so my visit doesn't make the picnic an option for us.

As a caregiver, what kind of suggestions do you have to share with someone who is beginning their transplant patient caregiver role?" Here is a discussion in the Transplant Group calloed _Are there any other pre-liver transplant caregivers out there?

Do you, husband, or daughters have any questions about post transplant living that you would like to ask?

We live only 70 miles south of Mayo in Rochester, so it was an easy trip north to the transplant picnic!
