Thank you and great news! Congratulations 🎉
I’ve been blaming Anastrozole for my back pain but now I’m thinking it could be rivaroxaban that I ‘have’ to take whilst on Anastrozole! I had a pulmonary embolism last year and I was told it’s ‘safer’ to take tge blood thinner with Anastrozole fir 5 years!! I can hardly walk now without pain. Luckily I’m having an MRI next Thursday, 13 July. All this is very frightening. 😢

1 ReactionAnastrazole is not a blood thinner it is a chemo pill generic
Collagen worked for me; cherry juice did not.
Hi rosa1935:
Please keep us posted about your progress and MRI results.
Is your pain when you walk muscles or joints or both?
Thank you so much.
I know that. I did say I’m
On a blood thinner called rivaroxaban, which is the blood thinner
I will do. I don’t have pain when I’m sitting down or in bed. It’s when I get up to walk, that’s when pain starts. I got a clean Mammogram in May so I’m hoping it’s the meds I am in. Otherwise I’m up Shitts Creek. 🤣🤣🤣
I was on Anastrozole for a year before my knees started bothering me. Within a few months after that onset, I felt practically crippled. I then switched to Letrozole and started collagen supplements. Within a few months the pain was gone. I think it was the collagen rather than the Letrozole switch as a few months later I mistakenly bought a supplement without the collagen and noticed the aches beginning to return. Walking helped with back pain.

3 ReactionsAccording to the Mayo site about rivaroxaban side effects, rivaroxaban can cause both back pain and leg weakness. I do not know which doctor is sending you for the MRI. which may be a precautionary measure to rule out anything else.
But, your cardiologist should be told of the side effects from it which are on the high side for you and are effecting you greatly.
