Recurrent UTIs with Neobladder (F 48 - 13 year survivor)
Hello!
Hoping to connect with other women who've had a radical cysectomy/neobladder and recurrent UTIs. I cath every time I urinate.
I had my surgery at 35 and have struggled for 13 years with infections - up to six a year. Because I live in rural Montana, my access to care is limited and urologist is 2 hours away.
I'd really like to compare notes with others who've struggled with UTIs and/or possibly talk to someone who underwent surgery to switch from a neo to a urostomy (something I don't want to do).
I've increased my sanitary practices, have tried D-Mannose and Quora supplements, have changed catheters and have taken Bactrim more times than I can count. I'm fed up and need help.
Thanks for your time. Hope we find each other!
