Well I just looked up the medication they are using for the reverse LC study and the side effects are not good. I get so tired of this. I know there has to be a way to get better without the use of medications like Baricitinib and Hydroxychloriquine. To me it seems like trading one thing for something else. I am sure some or all of you get frustrated about this as well. I want to know more about gut health and diets that might help. I know the Mediterranean diet is supposed to help. I also know that salt, sugar and white flour bother my system now. It sucks when I don't feel like cooking and need to eat. All the frozen microwave stuff is processed and salty, but I have to eat. I may just start eating like a rabbit...

@diverdown1

Thank you for posting the link to the RECOVER-LC website. The site provides information about the upcoming clinical trial of Baricitinib.

I then reviewed the article on the Mayo Clinic website about Baricitinib. As you noted, it has many potential serious side effects. And I learned from that article that my current medications and chronic illnesses would make it too risky for me to participate.

Thank you again for providing that link, so I could begin my research on this relevant clinical trial.

@friedrich Of course. I looked as well and I get angry about all of this. It does not help me to get angry though 🙂

This morning the malaise was not as bad, but I have really dry eyes and mouth and my joints hurt. My left shoulder keeps popping in and out. I know that I have some joint breakdown in my left thumb and left shoulder. I want so badly to be able to exercise, but I fear I can't and if I do, I fear feeling terrible for it. I start a new internship for my degree and I have a lot of anxiety. I told the supervisor that I have an autoimmune disease. I am worried as I have to be at the agency at 9 a..m several days a week. I have to allow myself several hours in the morning to be able to function (after the meds that I do take kick in). I also think that this isolation has psychologically affected me. Anyway, I just, once again, needed to share all of that. Everyone have a safe day.

@quickstepper Great link! A sufferer can print it all and take it to their doctor for a symptom specific discussion. If drugs are not something you want to use, this document shows the supplements that might work. I love that it is symptom specific AND it quotes the medical clinics, including Mayo Clinic, results linked to actual symptom findings. For those in the Post Covid groups, like those with massive mucous problems which is likely a 'mast cell' dysfunction, this web link is a Great find!

@pattig09 you are welcome. This link showed up yesterday in an email, and I agree that it is very useful and is up to date since just posted. I plan to send it to my doctor too.

@quickstepper I printed all 43 pages and it will go with me in my LC folder for my continued journey so I can speak the 'language' of healing options. I have my first appt. today with a clinic that works closely with RTHM in my area, fingers crossed!

I started taking Busparion.For my anxiety.10 mgs a day 12 hours apart.I really seem to feel I'm emotionally feeling better just in the 4 days I've been taking it.Supposed to take 2-4 weeks to start noticing it,but I feel mildly okay with things.I mean...I'm not swinging up and down emotionally.This I needLOL.

@quickstepper IMPORTANT!! Got to: https://www.s4me.info/threads/long-covid-treatment-guide-patient-led-research-collaborative-rthm.49296/ Several really negative comments.
This RTHM site is a FRAUD, and dangerous! From the site I've mentioned: "Leonid Schneider (data sleuth & scientific integrity journalist) has flagged this study because the authors have previously been involved in scientific fraud. The owner of the company, Dr Schai Efrati, has previously made claims that HBOT is an effective treatment for many conditions." Another comment: Turns out, only 40 patients were randomised to HBOT, and only 31 of them contributed data to the evaluation." Our biggest problem the millions of SCAMS out there. Give us the truth please! And if you're going to post something, check it out first. What a waste of time! Anney
