Pulmonary Fibrosis vs Bronchiectasis

My father was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. I just read where that is a genetic disease. I have bronchiectasis and MAC. Is there a correlation?

Can you tell me where you read that Pulmonary Fibrosis is genetic? I also have PF & Bronchiectasis currently
