Pulmonary Fibrosis vs Bronchiectasis: What role does genetics play?

Can you tell me where you read that Pulmonary Fibrosis is genetic? I also have PF & Bronchiectasis currently

@diziggy First, about 1 in 5 cases of pulmonary fibrosis (PF) are hereditary, you should tell your doctor about your Dad.
Second, some people have both traction bronchiectasis, a certain type of the disease, and pulmonary fibrosis. In many cases they have a form of rheumatoid arthritis as well. @spider109 and @diziggy, pulmonary fibrosis is not strictly a single genetic disease, but genetics play a major role in predisposing some people to developing it.
