My Husband has a PSA score 0f 4.16 he is 83 yr old is this something to be concerned about

Been there done that. At his age it just might be normal. The key word there is “might”Recommendations: digital examination, biopsy, there’s also a procedure where they go up through your private parts and hollow out the prostrate. I did all that and they still had to do a radical prostrate removal. I am 71. I hope and pray for your husband.

can the prostrate push against the bowel and cause him not to have a bowel movement for 5 days has to take 4 dulcolax pills for a movement. he has been to several gasto doctors and they have told him to eat more fiber and drink more water. has has 2 colonoscopy

Yes. The prostrate is located just on the outside of the large colon. If the prostrate is enlarged enough it can cause difficulty with bowel function. The digital exam can show if the prostrate is enlarged.

At your husbands age unless he has difficulty urinating he should be fine. Prostate issues are very slow growing so unless he has unacceptable symptoms he should be OK.
