Pain in upper thighs
I was diagnosed one month ago. Mayo in Florida said i had mild Parkinson Syndrome. Said must exercise 2 1/2 hours a week. No meds now. Does anyone experience pain in upper thighs? I'm in the BIG program for Parkinson. It's an hour of stretching. Program developed just for Parkinson folks. Maybe the pain is from this program. I have no other pain. It's four days/week for four weeks.

@mariemarie Hi: I was just wondering how you are feeling these days. Are the shingles getting better? Teresa
Hi. Shingles dried up. Feeling ok. I return to Big Program next Wednesday and Friday. I hope to begin peddling for Parkinson after BIG. THANKS for checking. Had ct scan of my stomach this week. Told doc that my stomach always felt in knots. She had scan done and was normal. Do u ever feel ur tummy upset?
@mariemarie I'm pleased to hear that the shingles are drying up and that you are getting ready to continue the BIG program as well as the Peddling program. I do have digestive tract problems, but it's from three surgeries for carcinoid cancer. Not related to the PD. However, many digestive problems can be related to PD. Here is some info from the National Parkinson's Foundation website that lists the "non-motor" symptoms of PD. I think you will find it interesting, http://www.parkinson.org/Understanding-Parkinsons/Non-Motor-Symptoms. Teresa
Please say prayers for my family as my husband of 44 years is under hospice care and fading fast. Our only child had a stroke in her eye last week and can't fly so she and her family are driving to New Mexico from Maryland. I am so worried about them and wonder how I can go on without the love of my life by my side Trish
@tntredhead I am so sorry to hear of your husband's transition to Hospice. What a very difficult time for you and your family. My prayers go with you, your husband and your family at this difficult time. Keep us posted in the upcoming days and please feel free to share your feelings with us. We care about you! Teresa
Dear Trish,
Our thoughts are with you. I'm glad that your husband is in hospice care. I've heard many say that hospice allows you space to relinquish some of the caregiving duties so that you can concentrate on love and peace.
@IndianaScott has written about this.
Please reach out whenever you need to talk to someone. We're here.
Hi @tntredhead I am sorry to hear of your husband's and daughter's situations. The portion of your journey you are about to embark upon in hospice will be different, but hopefully offering you many new supports. Our hospice nurse did have a booklet titled 'Out of Sight' about what you might expect to be happening in your hospice journey. I found it helpful.
This is undoubtedly a tough, intensely sad, and challenging time. I found nothing truely prepares us for loss, so all I can say is please remember there are some here who are walking that path of loss and grief and we can offer willing ears to listen and broad shoulders to lean upon.
Peace and strength!
Thank you so much @indianscott. We celebrate 44 years tomorrow and I can't seem to get the tears to stop Sent from Trish's latest toy
@mariemarie Hi Marie: I've been thinking about you. I hope you are doing well. How are your exercise programs coming along? I hope you have some relief from the upset stomach problem. Drop a note when you have time and update us on your progress. Teresa
