What "doctors" have you been seeing that said you were too young? They are way out of touch with modern medicine and I wouldn't want them removing a splinter let alone doing a knee replacement:

There are many excellent knee replacement surgeons. There are a few who are extraordinary. And most of the rest are competent if not excellent although there are a few who should have their licenses questioned.
Where are you located? Perhaps we can help you find a better surgeon.

If you are willing to spend the money on a Nano Knee, I would suggest coming to Phoenix for my surgeon (Jimmy Chow) who will do a better job for less money. Dr. Chow has withdrawn from Medicare and doesn't take much insurance but his standalone fee is still less than that of Nano Knee. He is the primary inventor of the Superpath method of minimally invasive hip replacement (he did it for me and I had no post surgery pain). He is also an active knee surgeon and he replaced my right knee eleven months ago with the extremely rare bicruciate retaining implant (BCR) which means that I still have all my ligaments (99+% of all TKRs have their ACL resected). it is complex surgery but he has been doing it for a decade and there is even a video on the internet of him doing one at a 2020 orthopedic innovations conference. As in the case of the hip, I again had no pain after my surgery.
I can't promise that you will also have no pain but he will give you the best chance at it.

1 Reaction@sueinmn I had a TKR in 2019, and another in 2020.
I was 70 & 71.
My surgeon did mention that they were good for about 20-25 years. I don’t anticipate having any problems unless I fall, again, or something…
@steveinarizona, thank you. I'd never heard of the Nano Knee.
@SusanEllen66 My Mom's knees were 25 & 30 years old when she passed away at 84 in 2011, and neither was giving her any trouble. Until multiples strokes slowed her at age 80, she was very active travelling, gardening and dancing. Several of my friends have functional knee implants that are 25 years old or more - even tennis players and golfers.
@sueinmn that’s about what I thought. I think it depends upon the persons physical health to begin with.
Arthritis, osteoporosis, etc I bet have a way of changing things.
My mom survived to 87 years with 3 artificial heart valves. Her first was done in 1967. It was replaced with newer versions several times, plus they needed to do 2 more. She died in 2015. So, she lived a very long time after the first valve. She was 40 at the time.

Yeah, then there are people like me who are not able to be active because of disease.
We each have different situations.
