@SusanEllen66 My Mom's knees were 25 & 30 years old when she passed away at 84 in 2011, and neither was giving her any trouble. Until multiples strokes slowed her at age 80, she was very active travelling, gardening and dancing. Several of my friends have functional knee implants that are 25 years old or more - even tennis players and golfers.

@sueinmn that’s about what I thought. I think it depends upon the persons physical health to begin with.
Arthritis, osteoporosis, etc I bet have a way of changing things.
My mom survived to 87 years with 3 artificial heart valves. Her first was done in 1967. It was replaced with newer versions several times, plus they needed to do 2 more. She died in 2015. So, she lived a very long time after the first valve. She was 40 at the time.
