"Orexin Signaling" as possible avenue for addressing LC
A newly published paper looks at this mechanism, as well as the possible helpful effects upon it by GLP-1 drugs.
As per https://academic.oup.com/edrv/advance-article-abstract/doi/10.1210/endrev/bnag009/8662897,
the abstract, "Orexin (OX) neuropeptides, which regulate arousal, metabolism, and neuroendocrine functions, may serve as a central link among stress, immune activation, and metabolic changes in these syndromes". (LC, ME/CFS, etc.)
From my reading about OX signalling, it sounds to me as though it might be more relevant for narcolepsy, but there is a certain amount of symptom overlap with CF, so who knows?
Just thought it might be a helpful bit of info for the ongoing (and ongoing...) conversation.
