Where can I find MCI On-line/Zoom support groups for caregivers?

Posted by kellym9sc @kellym9sc, Dec 11, 2022

Hi. Along with my sister, I'm caretaking my mom. She was diagnosed with MCI about four months ago and her memory/ability to think logically seems to be getting worse almost daily.
I would like to find a support group for caregivers of family members with dementia and wonder if anyone on this site knows of such a group. I haven't had luck finding something on line.
Thanks.

@jona77

I would like to know about this also.

We attended the HABIT program virtually, out of Arizona. Our cohort group was
January 2022.

It would be WONDERFUL to be part of a HABIT Alumni group.
We have not heard anything about this.

Thanks.

@jona77, there is an online alumni HABIT group here on Mayo Clinic Connect. You can request to join here:
- Living with MCI: Partners Support Group https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/living-with-mci-partners/

I also recommend following the MCI blog written by HABIT directors, including Dr. Locke from the Arizona HABIT program:

The Alzheimer's Association has on-line (Zoom) support groups at all different times of day/days of the week. Some groups have a particular focus (like adult children caregivers, etc.).
