Oh, it gets a little harder, doesn't it? What does this teach me?

The neurologist added another greeting question this time. How are we doing? It's getting a little harder? Yeh, that answer was easy. But I'm trying to switch my mentality from "why is this happening to me" to "what is this trying to teach me" can be a game changer. Not my quote.
I have to keep searching for meaning and purpose otherwise I get drug down in the dailies. This article helped.

Quote from the NYT's article..... “I remember I used to be very smart,” she tells her husband in the novel. My spouse says that from time to time. She still is pretty fluent in three languages. She can 'lead' sing hundreds of popular songs from the 50's, 60's, and 70's....word for word. She still finished college in 3-years. She use to have a 140 IQ. She knows her father, brother, and sister. She just isn't so sure about who I am, I don't take it personally.

This statement is where I had to go in my thinking when my eldest daughter, at age 27, was diagnosed with brain cancer.

If I had not kept keeping touch with God and asking him : "What are you trying to teach me?". I would have gone off the deep end.

My heart goes out to anyone dealing as a caregiver with a loved one with any serious life changing diagnosis. You just don't know until you know how tough this job is.
