Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma
Would like to find a support group in regards to non hodgkins lymphatic B cell.
Hi @maisyann, welcome to Connect.
I’m tagging @kjs1015 @aamarion @diana63 @djzlady96 to see if they will return to talk about their experiences with Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Maisy Ann, when were you diagnosed? What treatment are you getting or have you had?

I was diagnosed last March. I have had six rounds of bimustin and rituxin therapy. I am now in remission and will be on a two year maintenance of rituxin every other month with PET and CT scans every two or three months.

Hey there! I had 6 rounds of CHOP chemotherapy and one month of radiation for Non-hodkins Lymphoma when I was 18. This summer will mark my ten years of complete remission 🙂 Let me know if you have any questions or just need to vent about anything! I would be glad to help you any way I can.

@seekhealth2016, I was negligent in welcoming to Connect. Welcome!
Only in rare cases, is non-hodgkin’s lymphoma treated with surgery. Here’s more info about treatments used http://www.cancer.org/cancer/non-hodgkinlymphoma/detailedguide/non-hodgkin-lymphoma-treating-general-info
In this thread, @travelgirl asks about health diets for cancer patients. There’s some great info there. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/healthy-diets-for-cancer-patients/
@seekhealth2016 are you currently undergoing treatment for NHL?

I Am done with my chemo treatments and I am now on a two year Maintenance of Rituxin treatment every other month and I also have PET and CT scans every two months. I am still in remission at this time. Are being treated for NHL?
I do not know what NHL means, I have pancreatic cancer and I am looking for
the best supplements and news about the treatment.
Hi @seekhealth2016, NHL stands for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is what the people are talking about on this discussion thread.
Let me introduce you to people talking about pancreatic cancer. Click this link https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/i-have-just-been-diagnosed-with-pancreatic-cancer-1-12-inch-mass/ to see the discussion and meet SJG and Ronmac. I hope you’ll join us there.
My diffuse large cell B lymphoma was initially treated with 2 small intestine resections and is being followed with R CHOP for 6 sessions. I hope for a remission. I am a 65 yr. old woman.
In addition to the great community here, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) offers links to support groups as well: http://www.lls.org/support-resources
The American Cancer Society has a list of NHL resources that could be helpful to tap into, too: http://www.cancer.org/cancer/non-hodgkinlymphoma/detailedguide/non-hodgkin-lymphoma-additional
I have Non Hodgkin Follicular Lymphoma, I was diagnosed on 1/5. My Lymphoma was found two weeks after finding my cecum cancer. When my surgeon ordered a CT scan, after my polyp came back cancerous. sighing.. double trouble. Cecum cancer was a stage 1 had surgery to remove that. The Lymphoma is on a watch and wait approach.. since I have no symptoms other than swollen lymph nodes near and around my aorta. Not sure if you heard of this book? I purchased it to and it has lots of helpful information. “Living with Lymphoma: A Patient’s Guide” by Elizabeth M. Adler. I wish you the best.
@maisyann, how are you doing?
Thank you for the posting. I am still in remission. I have PET and CT scans every two months and also receive Rituxin treatments every other month. This is a two year maintenance treatment unless the scans show my cancer has returned.
Hello, I too have and had NHL(not the national hockey league)./ for me it’s Low grade B cell non-hodgkins lymphoma, diagnosed in 2008 and treated with 6months of chemo, and maintenance doses that followed, and left me in remission until 2014 then soaking night sweats had me back to chemo again, 2009 chemo wasn’t bad at all 2015 wasn’t good at all low blood counts fevers ER visits near neutropenia fever and chills,…blood count back to normal fen.2016 now lighting up like a Christmas tree on last two PET scans…another PET in October, see where treatment take me this time if it is still showing on scans..I am a 62 year old male that felt great two days ago..now night sweats the last two nights..
Welcome to Connect, @muskegonsid. I’m glad you found us so that we can accompany you on this return to the “journey”. I’d like to introduce you to @maisyann @aamarion and @travelgirl.
