"No drainable fluid" for healing subcutaneous abscess?

I've never posted here so I hope I'm doing it right.

I had lap appendectomy 7 Jan. Back in ER 16 Jan for an abscess at an incision site, fluids about 7.9cm x 1.7cm and ended up bursting that same day. Took antibiotics for a week until the 24th which is about when it stopped draining.

I had another CT yesterday 30th and it's now 5.2cm x 0.8cm. Haven't talked to doc yet but the notes say there's no drainable fluid and it's at near complete resolution. Surgeon ignored developing infection that turned to abscess and my concerns about redness and pain just 2 days before I had to go to the ER so I've been having anxiety with everything now.

Trying to not psych myself out but I haven't had major surgery before. I don't think they'll contact me before Monday. I'm 26 no history of major health problems just appendicitis if that's relevant.

Could others share healing experiences and how long it took for fluids to clear up? Have you been told this before and did you still need treatment?
