@l0lag0lag0b3 Have you changed any other medication? Is this a new manufacturer for the nifedipine?Modification in when you take it, or what you take with it? Do you see your BP trending downwards, so your current dose may be too much? Trying to think of possible causes of your concerns...

Thanks Ginger
I have also experienced severe hypotension 80/40.with Nifedipine . had to go to ER twice ! TheNifedipine brand has been same on checking the last 6 month Nifedipine bottles. I tried Amlodipine B. 2.5mg yesterday and ended up urinating 4 times in the night.... this drug has no HCTz component but talks about possibility of dehydration.... I am not sure what needs to be done.. .. one suggestion came take it earlier in the day (Amlodipine) let's try that for 2 days ( the risk factor for Amlodipine nearly zero compared to Nifedipine which talks about Hypotension possibility & Cardiac issues....let wait for a couple of day.. Any thoughts .. I will inform how I am doing with Amlodipine
I was switched from nifedipine to Amlodipine being told it was basically a milder version of the same drug. My BP has leveled off a bit.
Glad to hear ..went well .. Thanks for Sharing.
If your BP is stable and you’re not getting the headaches or dizziness anymore, you’re probably on a better fit.
Reason I prefer Nifedipine is: it has the least amount of impact on Tacrolimus trough levels - compared to Felodipine or Amlodipine. Also it is least prone to causing problems with your eyes compared to Amlodipine. ( from what I am reading)
Only thing that scares me: running into a situation where you encounter a hypotension scenario.. ( which can significantly impact the weakest organ in you body) ..other than that: I find Nifedipine a very impressive drug and recently I was reading some published papers and the observation presented was that for people who hereditarily prone to Coronary Issues - Nifedipine is a good fit.
