New Developement: please respond if you this has happened to you etc
I have been steady and well on 5mg/day Camzyos for 3 months which is when I began taking the drug. But my echocardiogram showed that my gradient was 35 up from 13 last month. I don't know what that means, does anyone know here? Also, as a consequence of this echo result, the cardiologist want me to double my dose of Camzyos from 5mg/day to 10mg/day. I am alarmed and concerned about side effects of taking twice as much, and about whether this will heighten the risk that Camzyos may cause heart failure (it's black box warning)? Also, will I likely respond well to the 10mg, or will I keep bouncing from one dosage to another? Thanks for any responses.

I had my dose increased 2 months ago. I was feeling ok, a little short of breath. After the increase I had no bad effects and felt better.
I have the same fears. My doctor wants to increase my dosage, but only by 2 1/2 so going from 5 to 7 1/2. I think they want to see the gradient go down to more or less normal.
Have not i was on 5 mg for 5 months been off for 18 days now awaiting surgery in June
Camzyos allowed me to get stronger and get back on my bike after exercise heart failure my gradient went from 122 to 38 and maintained 38 while on it. Camzyos did not eliminate the obstruction enough for me to get after it on my exercising.
I would say as long as yku are working with a COE facility on your care your gonna be fine.
Stay in touch with your COE cardiologist with any changes that happen to your body.
Hope all goes well
