@dannoyes Thank-you Dan - I just keep going as I have NO other choice really. I also have my mum in a Care Home here in Australia so I have to keep an eye on her.

Good Morning Laura,
As @dannoyes already mentioned, your determination is truly incredible after everything you've been through.
Caring for aging parents with chronic conditions can be overwhelming. I know this firsthand with my mother, who has Alzheimer's. Her doctor once reminded me that it's easy for family caregivers to become ill themselves, and it's so important that we take care of ourselves and maintain our own lives too.
Have you been able to schedule that online appointment with Dr. Omar Danoun?

@santosha Hi Chris my mother has the start of Dementia too, it certainly gets very draining after a few hours with her. I have been listening to more talks with Dr Danoun but have not thought any more about an appointment as yet. I have been looking into my keto diet more to try to help my seizures. I did share I have seizures started after a TBI 20yrs ago after numerous blows to the head. Trying to work both health issues & drugs gets too much at times. I have only just tried to go back over emails for Feb. I am trying to look into the drugs for Osteoporosis too which I have also refused.

Hi @laura1961
Caring for someone with dementia can be truly draining. My neuropsychologist has been an incredible source of support in that regard as well.
I'm glad to hear you are continuing to explore Dr. Danoun's talks and forming your own impressions — especially given everything you have already been through.
I hope you find a doctor who truly looks after you soon. Fingers crossed!

@santosha Yes I may as well give him a chance if I decide to try a drug, which is still very questionable, except for CBD Epidiolex. Just like the drugs for Osteoporosis I still have my doubts about because of the s/e.

I have found a new GP I have my 2nd appnt with this week to go over the medication Epidiolex. I am thinking the CBD may help although I have said I will see an Epileptologist to look into it with me.

Unfortunately, according to my own experience, not many doctors are yet up to date on CBD-based treatments for epilepsy: it's still a relatively new area for many neurologists and epileptologists.
Since Epidiolex isn't yet available in Brazil, I take the same active compound under a different pharmaceutical brand.
Out of curiosity, is Epidiolex already available in Australia?
Wishing you the very best for your second appointment with your GP!
