New abilities and interest post concussion

Hi there, I’m new to the group. Looking to see if anyone is like me or has insight into something I am experiencing. I had a severe concussion, it had affected everything for me, you name the symptom I have it. One thing in particular tho is I have this insane affinity for all things space related, astrophysics, quantum physics and black holes. I have major deep big picture like existential thinking now. I see patterns everywhere and I’m slightly obsessed with how everything is tied together in a pattern format in the universe. I find watching anything about space usually lectures or documentaries incredibly relaxing. I can’t get enough of it. Strange thing is I instantly understand all of it. Like deep heavy subject matter. It just makes sense. (Not something I per se understood before at all) I see life and everything completely different now. But it’s hard because I have so much information in my head I don’t know what to do with it. It’s almost frustrating that most people around me don’t understand any of it.
Anyone have new abilities? And what have you done with them?

Great post! My wife of 47 years, who had always had very poor hand/eye coordination, suddenly had the ability to catch and throw a ball after her TBI. Her aim is better than mine, now. She also suddenly had a talent for finding the right pitch/key of a song with her voice or on a piano, which she had never played before. She absolutely loves ambient music, like Brian Eno's "Music for Airports," which is way outside her musical preferences before her TBI. If you've not explored ambient music, it is very much "contemplative" or "mood" music, which I thinks helps calm her and addresses her anxiety, among other things.
