My melotonin and sleep medicine isn't working anymore.

My sleep aids (numerous) are not working anymore. I've taken them for years. Can I just quit and maybe my sleep will get better on its own or should I try something else. I just can't fall asleep at night. A lot of twisting and turning. No anxiousness. A real problem. Any suggestions?

Thank you. This has been going on for 30 years. I started with 1 low dose melatonin and through the years have upped the ante until I don't think any of it is working anymore. I don't want sleeping pills. Just another hook. I'm 73. Not plagued with anxiety. Neuropathy doesn't help. I might try s sleep study? Thank you

I think we are meant to take a low dose of melatonin for best results. I take 1mg. Also,
Vistarel which is the best thing I’ve found. Trazadone worked well for years, but now not so much.

Sadly, and somewhat disturbingly for me, too many people report that, with CPAP well dialed in and their numbers each morning reflecting good solid treatment, they still have what they call brain fog and not feeling 'with it' or like being engaged. I see this once a week or so over at apneaboard. Nobody seems to be able to shed light on it.

Well, that is discouraging. Doesn't bode well for continuation of the treatment in my case since those are the symptoms I am looking to banish. Thank you for your honesty.
