My husband just started Aricept he is dizzy is that normal?

@lydiasantee My husband was on Memantine (Namenda) for nearly four years until we realized the paranoia and hallucinations he experienced started after he started the medication. He is now off of it and only wears the Rivastigmine patch for memory. I can’t see where either have helped. Everyone has different reactions to meds, good and bad.

@labrown Yes…I wasn’t clear in my post. My husband is also using the Rivastigmine patches. We opted out of the infusions because he is at risk for brain bleeds.

It is out of my control when my husband gets angry... Yells at me, He has always had anger issues.

What type of Dementia does your DH have? Mine has early Vascular Dementia. He is also on the Rivastigmine. He has no side effects. He was on the aircept, but was changed to Rivastigmine 4.6 MG/24HR about a year ago- just this week his dosage was increased Rivastigmine (EXELON) a higher dose. Due to lesser ADL (activities in daily living). Best wishes - and prayers.
