I took my wife to Mayo in July for her care and while I was there I found out I had PMR. Mayo Rochester is Outstanding! Every doctor, every member of the staff we came in contact with and all of the volunteers and facilities are just the best. They really care. Lots of hotels. We stayed at the Homewood Suites which is also very good. One mile to Mayo and they have a shuttle several times a day. I have been to all 3 of the Mayo's and can not say enough good things about them.

@sevey41 Hello so very sorry to hear about your grandson. When I initially got sick my very first symptom was a panic attack (Oct 8th 2016). First one of my life. My hands started to convulse inward, heart racing, ice cold limbs, head drenched in sweat, in and out of consciousness. I was taken to the ER and doctors said it was nothing more than a panic attack. This turned into daily anxiety and panic attacks for me, none stop every day for 6-7 months. Then came along all the other symptoms: Visual Snow/Static, eye floaters, BFEP, ghosting or trailing in vision, flickering in vision, light sensitivity, tinnitus, daily headaches, stiff neck, migraine aura, fatigue, muscle spasms, pain in diaphragm. I could name a few more.

I eventually got rid of my anxiety, migraine aura, and fatigue is better. I practice mindfullness, meditation, deep breathing and take a host of daily vitamins. I believe you grandson can do away with his anxiety. It has to be multiple times daily effort. I believe I was able to re-train my brain to understand that I wasn't going to die. Despite the daily pain I live with I'm glad to be rid of the anxiety.

Truly sorry about your grandson, I wish this on no one. Wish you and your family well.

Danny

Hii bro, what problem did you had?

@gailb

I'm so sorry to hear this. My 16 year old grandson has Tourettes syndrom, which includes OCD, ADDHD, and lack of impulse control. He too has outbursts of yelling, threatening to kill himself or hurt others, which are totally opposite his behavior/attitude when he is feeling "normal" on his medications. He spent a week in the children's ward of the hospital last August because he had a butcher knife and was threatening to kill himself.

They changed his medications and he's doing better since then. Have you had your grandson checked for Attention Deficit/hyperactivity? It sounds like he needs to talk with a psychologist and psychiatrist to see if he needs further evaluation & help. Good luck, Gail B

No I don't believe a 16 yr old could be even understanding a psych, perhaps with tourettes, he needs CBD which would assist add copd and tourettes you should have the right to try a modest amount with him i have patients with Add Adhd tourettes , and a host of other Brain disorders, you would like to try Palmitoylethanolamide as well good luck and may your God be with you
