MRSA possibly masking MAC?

Has anyone been told that CT looks like MAC but MRSA grows from sample taken at Bronchoscopy and the MRSA may be masking the MAC. Also has anyone reacted to antibiotics with a very itchy miserable rash?

@rasmusje Hi there. Wow! I had not had a member come on board here with MRSA in their lungs. Are you dealing (mentally) with it ok? Please keep me posted on your upcoming results. Are you experiencing a lot of coughing or other symptoms?

@windwalker Hi Teri, I’ve cultured MAC, MAI, and now Mucor in my lungs, and MRSA in my sinuses, along with m. Abscessus and Acintobacter Baumanii. Each time I’ve asked if I’m contagious and the Pulmo, ID doc, and ENT all say I would only be infectious to those with a compromised immune system.
