mRNA vaccine or Novavax vaccine for COVID?

Posted by donnaturn @donnaturn, Sep 23, 2023

Now that the Novavax protein subunit vaccine is available, has anyone been advised which type of COVID vaccine- Novavax vs. Pfizer or Moderna (the last two being mRNA vaccines) is recommended for folks with Bronchiectasis? I have always received the Pfizer vaccine in the past, but I know that the Novavax works differently than the mRNA vaccines. I appreciate any information or advice you can provide.

Yesterday 9/26/23 I went to my local pharmacy where I've got all my shorts for years. I didn't question which MFG Covid short I would receive, so I just looked at my receipt, it was Pfizer as where all my previous. Given a choice I would have selected it, for no other reason than consistency.

Having near heard of the Novavax, I had to look it up. Here's a good comparison chart. What a boon covid has been for big Pharma!
