miracle

Surprise!!! Maybe miracles can be slow moving. I can read two more lines on the eye chart! I read most of the 20/40 line!!! I was 20/80 in July of this year. This is almost as good as when I was on steroid drops. My vision deteriorated after cataract surgery in June 2024. I had an ERM removed in August of 2024 to help clear up my vision. After that, I developed CME and then went steroid responsive with really scary pressure numbers as high as 60. Vision became blurry after I D/C'd the steroids. I don't know how this happened other than people prayed.

Margie,
That is wonderful news! My you've had a lot of problems with your eyes but God was there and answered your prayers! Now you are even seeing better than before! Remember, God's son, Jesus also restored sight to a blind man. I've had eye problems since I was 6 and know how frustrating they can be! But prayers do get answered and my eyes are doing fine now like yours are.
I'm so glad for you!

@pml Jesus can do anything but fail - a children's song. But also consider Paul who had a thorn in the flesh that God did not remove. Some scholars believe that could have been his eyesight was failing. Also Hebrews 11, the faith hall of fame, has a number of people who were faithful and not 'rescued from the fire.' Sometimes we just don't know why God does something. We are told that troubles develop endurance, character and hope in more than one Bible passage. I still have visual distortion, a blurry spot and the images in the eyes don't match as they should and an IOL that is the wrong strength. But I was never told better was possible. I am thankful for better!
