Minimum Daily Caloric Intake

Posted by lele87 @lele87, Feb 26, 2013

I'd like to eat healthier, but primarily just to maintain my current weight and look more "toned." What is the absolute bare minimum number of calories that can safely be consumed daily to help achieve this? I'm a 25-year old female, 5'5", 135 lbs, and I get roughly 30-45 minutes of moderate exercise daily.

I don't know specific numbers as it varies from what I've read but to look more toned you would have reduce ur body fat. Eating more lean could help, as well as fasting. However I do not mean starve a whole day, I mean cutting back on your caloric intake on a specific day of your choice, if you generally eat 2000 calories a day, then on your fast, eat 1000. Just a thought however, only a thought.

Regular diets are more like 2000 to 2500 calories diet. Some people are on low carb diet on as low as 1600 calories diet. Instead, they eat 1/2 bowl of rice or pasta, 1 piece of whole grain bread, 3-5 ounces of lean cut meat for lunch and dinner. When serving corns, they cut off starch. Eat fruits half an hour before meals. Hope this will help. By the way, if you are 5' 5" and weigh about 135 pounds, you are on the ideal body weight. Good for you. Just eat nutritiously balanced meal. Enjoy!
