Mini Seizures

I’ve read a bit about these types of seizures. With my son, it starts with lip smacking and he gets really hot. He can make coffee and move around the kitchen, but cannot speak. It lasts about 30 seconds or so. Has anyone had this happen?

@karenandkiell Good Evening,
It looks like your son is having partial/focal complex seizures. Smacking, getting hot, and not being able to speak during and after the seizure for some time (the time depends on the intensity of the seizure) are quite typical in partial complex seizures. I have temporal lobe epilepsy with partial or focal seizures (simple/aura and complex) and the same happens to me (my husband tells me what has happened during and after the seizure, as I can not remember anything after a complex seizure when the awareness gets impaired). I am also able to move around during and after a simple or complex seizure. My husband once told me that during a seizure, he hugged me and I hugged him back. Does your son have deja vus?
