Metropolol after ablation.
Amu45sin here.
Had ablation 4 weeks ago. Prior to that was on 12.5 mg metropolol succinate for 6 weeks. Doctor has me me off metropolol now. Have others been taken off? What effects did you have? Thanks!

I am on 25mg metropolol and will have an ablation on 23 may. After the ablation I will remain on metropolol for 30 days and then will stop. Not sure about Eliquis.
Had abaltion 3 years ago. Got off metropolol soon, after wearing heart montior for 2 weeks, to be sure of no need. Been great ever since. Off all meds, including 81mg aspirin. We are all different, but that's my status.

Hi, I'm having an ablation June 4th. Special, as my heart is on the right side of my body and reversed, so had to find a doctor experienced in dealing with that. Found a Dr at Loma Linda University hospital. We have not discussed coming off metoprolol as yet, but I'm sure it will be discussed. I'll keep the site informed.
Google side effects of Eliquis.
Thanks. I will be taking metropolol only 1/2 dose for about a week or so and then stop completely.
May you be blessed for an excellent outcome!
Doctor office said I could stop metropolol since it has been 3 weeks since ablation. To wean me off of it, I will only take 12.5 every other day for about 2 weeks or so. Not good to stop mist medications abruptly. Best to you!
This is helpful. How did you tolerate the Metropol for a short time? I just started the lowest dose and am experiencing uncomfortable side effects.
How was the ablation procedure? Can you please describe your experience and recovery?
Thank you kindly.
DB
Did you have the ablation procedure and now you are able to stop the metropol? How did the procedure go for you? Was the recovery smooth? Thank you. DB
PS. I just started a low dose of the metropol and do t like the side effects.
Hi, I was completely out, LOL. so I can't say much about the prodedure.
The doctor went in thru a vein in my groin. Electrocardiologisthad a staff of 4 other medical professionals.
Very few side effects for about a week.
It will go well for you also.
