Can one decrease or stop taking when avg. heart rate is 50-60 bpm?

You need to run it by your Dr. first. I, periodically, go into Afib and increase my metoprolol when that happens. When not in Afib I take 25 mg in the am and pm. I increase it to 50mg in the am when I need to.
Hope this helps.
