Hi! My name is caringissharing. I am 49 years old. I had a radicle Hysterectomy bso 3 years ago. I was in perimenopause before My Hysterectomy. Now I am in surgical menopause. I am confused because I still have a little endometriosis on My bladder after the surgery. I was put on estradiol 1/2mg.
I did well but now I found out from others that being on HRT can make it grow. I am now on estroven. Can anyone please tell Me is it true it can and will estroven do this also?
Thanks for having Me!

1 ReactionHello, I am a 52-year-old perimenopausal woman who has been diagnosed with endometrial thickening, specifically simple hyperplasia. My gynecologist initially prescribed 200 mg of progesterone, but I experienced severe adverse effects that felt cardiac-related.
Due to my sensitivity to medications, I was transitioned to a compounded progesterone starting at 25 mg. However, when the dose was increased to 50 mg, I began experiencing tachycardia, heart palpitations, chest pain, and significant disorientation. I required an emergency room visit, where a Holter monitor and echocardiogram and heart ultrasound were ordered. Additionally, since starting progesterone, I have developed ocular migraines in my right eye, progressing to episodes of grey-to-black vision loss nearly every other day.
I am extremely sensitive to medications and need to proceed with very gradual dose adjustments. I am also deeply concerned about the possibility of requiring a hysterectomy and would prefer to avoid that outcome if possible.
When I raised concerns about starting at a lower dose, my gynecologist seemed dismissive. I also shared that my pharmacist has observed similar side effects in other patients, but this was not acknowledged.
I am feeling quite overwhelmed and frightened by these symptoms and would greatly appreciate guidance or support.

I'm supposed to be able to share as a gift article. Please let me know if it is now possible to read it without a subscription.
@klp thank you! I’m 57 and have struggled with joint pain (.foot pain) since my 40’s and brain fog much of my life but became significantly worse in my 40’s. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 51. I went through menopause at 52. I learned last year about how the HRT study of the early 2000 was so flawed, which got me thinking about the talking to my gyn about it. I am at a higher risk for breast cancer as my mom was diagnosed and my aunt (her breast cancer was caught at a very early stage), she is just fine. I see a doctor at a high-risk breast clinic and I’m monitored several times per year. At my last HRBC appointment she ran some scenarios and my life-time risk for breast cancer will be below 18% if I do or do not do HRT.
My night-time night sweats really don’t keep me up, I’m usually woken up by my bladder one time it is at this time that I feel sweaty. I return to bed and fall back to sleep and the the morning my bladder again with some sweating. If I have day sweats it doesn’t really affect me. I still have some brain fog.
Sorry for the long post, I seem to be more interested in HRT due to my joint pain and brain fog. My GYN perscribed the Estrogen and Progesterone to my….i have not used it yet…still out of concern for breast cancer although my like-time risk only goes up .4% and because of the vibe I got from my Gyn at the appointment. Thank you for reading if you’ve gotten this far. I still need to know if the perceived benefits of replacing estrogen for joint pain and brain fog is more helpful then my inherited breast cancer risks. Any relevant information would be helpful!
