Meningioma: Anyone else? I'm frightened

Posted by pixie49247 @pixie49247, May 12, 2023

I just found out I have a Meningioma tumor from a MRI I had for something else. Doctor said they are almost always benign and am going to get an appointment with a neurologist. Anyone else have one of these. I’m getting very frightened now.

@jackie2k he's just gone through the first stages of after surgery. Sleeping essentials and groggy, but talking is still hard. I'll give him a week. Will let you know.

@randallshields56 Good Morning! And thanks for the reply and that’s interesting I’m just interested to know if I made the right decision of radiation versus surgery.
What you think

Yes. My stage two meningioma suddenly grew. It is pressing on my frontal lobe and midline. I have an appointment with my neurosurgeon and radiology oncologist to undergo a gamma knife procedure at Northwestern Hospital in April. Wish me luck. Jane

@jackie2k I had no choice had both because mine was cancerous. But radiation is what I will do if it's needed again, chemo almost took me out last time. Between what I did have and now the radiation took out the cancerous part, will have to do the 5 years testing

@janeelaine I just went through it and I wish you the best. The most uncomfortable part to me was the mask but tolerable. Hugs to you
