Has anyone with Meniere's Disease been prescribed the compound drug Betahistine?

I wonder if ears pressure and having them clogged will ever go away or not be so intense, what has helped for others?

I have pressure in ears and pain deep down the ear. Anyone experiencing pain as well and what is working Ibuprofen for me does.

Did you have an x-ray of your cervical vertebrae? I just did due to sudden hearing loss and severe tinnitus. Found out I have cervical arthritis. I am just in the beginning stages with my doctors to find out if my symptoms are more than Meniere's and there are other contributing health issues.

I was put on betahistine for the month of January. Since completing the prescription I have not experienced any menieres symptoms. No vertigo or hyperacusis.

Yes I had the cervical X-rays & yes it’s a bit of arthritis they said but no I don’t think they related it to Menieres which I was dx with 2 yr ago after a bad attack of vertigo . Since then it’s tinnitus thank heavens. I hope you don’t have vertigo.

I did not mean “tinnitus thank heavens” !!! I have a 2yr old rescue dog jumping all over me , can’t finish a sentence
I meant vertigo would be worse for sure altho I’m isolating a lot with the tinnitus. The hypercusis is less frequent depending on setting.
Good luck to ya

I read up on it I don’t think it’s available in the US any more. I’m game for anything that would help me have some normalcy

Do you reside in the U.S.? If so, did you go to a compounding pharmacy to have the prescription filled? Thank you in advance.

I haven't tried to follow up but I will! Thank you and I'm so happy for you! I got new hearing aids yesterday. Everything sounds so loud. I'm in the learning curve of how to program them with my phone. It's not that I don't know how it's just a new app & it seems like I can't adjust one without the other syncing to it. I don't really need one in L ear. I sound like I'm talking in a mic. She said get used to it im stuck with them & will lose money if I want to return them. I did same with same group a few years ago & got full refund. I said what good are hearing aids if you don't know what direction sound is coming from. I have tinnitus in R ear and hyperacusis in L. Not complaining ! Just determined to work it to where I can sit at a table & hear everybody!
