Anyone have melanoma on the bottom of their foot?

Just had surgery to remove melanoma from bottom of foot. Now Dr says I have melanoma in Situ. Interested in others with similar diagnosis.

Yes, it’s acral lentiginous. I was fortunate enough to progress through a wheel chair, to a knee scooter, a walker, then a cane. Long time! They’ve done two removals but because of the size and the needed margins, I remain with melanoma in-situ at this time. I’ll see the surgeon in a couple days and know their plan then. I want it all removed, but can’t go through another year of surgeries and being non-weightbearing. Grim, but there’s always worse.

@ebb606 I was diagnosed with a deep (Breslow 4) melanoma of my right foot in October of ‘25. After three neoadujunt Ketruda infusions, surgery was done on December 8th. Now continuing Ketruda every three weeks for a year.

@ebb606 Glad to hear you're back out on the greens, and are well protected from the sun's rays. I believe you'd said you were starting immunotherapy in October. Are you on a 3 week schedule of Keytruda infusions?

@grammato3 yes, I'm on the every 3-week schedule with Keytruda

Oh yes it could be worse...I pray you get the melanoma removed and quickly.
I had stage 3 on my shoulder and 4 years later 2021 it came back stage 4 in my lung and it's inoperable. It has not been a fun time.

T2B depth, n1A, m0, final stage 3B melanoma. I was supposed to do keytruda for 13 months but only had two infusions because of the side effects.

songinmyheart54 can’t imagine how you have coped with this for so long, it’s nerve wracking. I’m so sorry it has come back to your lung ,such a nasty disease. Please keep updating here as you are able.

@ebb606: That is also how I started. How are you tolerating the Keytruda?

I recently had spots removed from the bottom of my left foot, near the heel. It has been about 2 weeks and I am getting around slowly with a cane. Hopefully they got it all. I clean it once a day with soapy water and place ointment and non stick gauze. Can't stand/walk on it fully just yet. The hardest part is keeping walking to a minimum, being restless, and trying to continue to contribute to the family dynamic. Good health and work on getting yourself better!
